Project title:
Multiphysics-based modelling of Aluminum-Sulfur batteries
Project description:
The objective of this project is to develop a pseudo two-dimensional model (P2D-model) for Al-S batteries with ionic liquid electrolytes. The developed model will be adopted to find strategies to enhance the general performance of the battery with respect to the rate and cycling performance. In addition, the model will be used to evaluate the impact of cell design parameters and stack architecture on the electrochemical performance of the battery. This research is part of the AMAPOLA project funded by the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation program.
